Disarming bacteria to defeat resistant infections
Virulence factor targeting therapeutics
First-in-class non-antibiotic small molecules that target bacterial virulence
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a critical global health challenge that kills over 1.25 million people every year. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a World Health Organization priority pathogen associated with severe hospital-acquired infections and high levels of resistance. Antibiotics are no longer adequate as the only treatment option for bacterial infections. We aim to change the standard-of-care for infections with our first-in-class non-antibiotic approach.
